CNP ASFALISTIKI CYPRUS RALLY 2015 - WITH CNP ASFALISTIKI’S STRENGTH, CYPRUS RALLY 2015 PAVE THE WAY WITH SAFETY

CNP ASFALISTIKI CYPRUS RALLY 2015 came to an end on Sunday the 27th of September.

CNP ASFALISTIKI became for a third consecutive year the major sponsor of the Cyprus Rally 2015, due to its long-term relationship with the Cyprus Automobile Association. Our national Rally is part of two FIA regional championship rounds, the eighth round of the European Rally Championship as well as the fifth round of the Middle East Rally Championship, a fact that constitutes the Cyprus Rally unique.

 

The Ceremonial Start and Finish of this year’s CNP ASFALISTIKI Cyprus Rally was hosted in Larnaca. The Cyprus Rally 2015 reaffirmed its tough reputation, with only 40 of the 64 cars managing to finish the race. The crews from Cyprus, Europe and Middle East raced over 664 kilometres in 16 demanding and fast special stages. The leading and most innovated special stage of the Cyprus Rally 2015 was CNP ASFALISTIKI SUPER SPECIAL STAGE which provided a great spectacle to thousands of motorsport fans.

 

Nasser Al Attiyah from Qatar and his co-driver Matthieu Baumel, with a Ford Fiesta RRC were the winners of the CNP ASFALISTIKI CYPRUS RALLY 2015, the Polish, Kejatan Kajetanowicz, leader of the European Rally Championship and Jaroslaw Baran, with a Ford Fiesta R5, finished in the second place and Abdulaziz Al Kuwari from Qatar and Clarke Marshall, with a Ford Fiesta RRC in the third. First winners amongst the Cypriot crews were Christos Demosthenous and his co-driver Pambos Laos with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, Savvas Savva and Andreas Demosthenous with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, finished in the second place and Costas Zynonos and Kyriakos Damianou with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 in the third.

 

By supporting Cyprus Rally 2015, CNP ASFALISTIKI actively contributed in the efforts of promoting and raising public awareness on the issue of road safety to all motorsport fans.
