CYPRUS RALLY 'MOVED ON' WITH THE POWER OF CNP ASFALISTIKI

The CNP ASFALISTIKI CYPRUS RALLY, which 'moved on' with the power of CNP ASFALISTIKI, passed the finish line on Sunday the 09th of October.

CNP ASFALISTIKI, in the context of a long lasting relationship with the Cyprus Automobile Association, for a fourth consecutive year was the major sponsor of the Cyprus Rally 2016. Our national Rally counts in two FIA regional championship rounds and it is the only one in the world with such a characteristic.

The Ceremonial Start and Finish of this year’s CNP ASFALISTIKI Cyprus Rally was hosted in Limassol. A total of 72 crews from Cyprus, Europe and Middle East accepted the challenge over 822 kilometers in 13 special stages. The race reaffirmed its tough and demanding reputation, entertaining thousands of motorsport fans and pleasing all of them who experienced the CNP ASFALISTIKI SUPER SPECIAL STAGE in the roads of Nicosia.

A. Lukyanuk and his co-driver A. Arnautov with a Ford Fiesta R5 were the winners of the CNP ASFALISTIKI CYPRUS RALLY 2015, the M. Griebel and P. Winklhofer, with a Skoda Fabia R5, finished in the second place and R. Simarcis and A. Siminis, with a Skoda Fabia R5 in the third. First winners amongst the Cypriot crews were C. Demosthenous and his co-driver P. Laos with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, Chips Junior and A. Chrysostomou with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, finished in the second place and C. Zenonos and F. Christophe with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 in the third.

CNP ASFALISTIKI actively supported a renowned event, which promotes Cyprus abroad. At the same time the company focused its efforts in raising the public awareness on the issue of road safety. Towards this direction, CNP ASFALISTIKI, for many years has been joining forces with state authorities in educating students and young people on road safety issues.
