ROAD SAFETY EVENT AT PERNERA SCHOOL 2015

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CNP ASFALISTIKI in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, supported the Road Safety event, organised by the children and the teachers, of the Pernera Elementary School, on April 29th.

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CNP ASFALISTIKI in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, supported the Road Safety event, organised by the children and the teachers, of the Pernera Elementary School, on April 29th. This is the third school that such an event takes place under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Culture.The theme of the event is: «I protect myself by walking safely on the street ».

This initiative aims at heightening the awareness of young future drives concerning the Road Safety.

The following activities were sponsored by CNP ASFALISTIKI with the approval of the Minister of Education and Culture:

  • Purchasing of a special CD Player, where road safety messages will be transmitted so as to strengthen the road safety awareness,
  • Purchasing of wall paints for the creation of the big graffiti which decorates the outside wall of the school with slogans for Road Safety,
  • Creation and printing of a newspaper for the students about Road Safety,
  • Purchasing of Road Safety books to enrich the School’s library,
  • Covering the cost of taking the students with buses to the Police Road Safety Park,
  • Establishing and granting of awards for participants in competitions announced by the School Administration regarding Road Safety,
  • Providing luminous armbands to the students.

The event was addressed by the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou, on behalf of the Minister of Education and Culture, the Director of Primary Education, Mr. Elpidoforos Neocleous, the Headmistress of Pernera Elementary School Mrs. Maria Demou and the Police Traffic Department Assistant Manager, Mr. Giorge Hininos.
