As part of the Road Safety Week, CNP ASFALISTIKI, the first general insurance company in Cyprus in collaboration with the Cyprus Police, co-organised in Larnaca, on Saturday 26 October, a cycling ride to raise awareness for the victims of traffic collisions and an event open to the public at Metropolis Mall in Larnaca.
“Let’s not let our dreams fall apart!”
With this central message, the awareness cycling ride was crowned with great success. Starting from Finikoudes and ending at Metropolis Mall, a large number of cyclists from various organized groups participated.
At the event that followed at Metropolis Mall, attendees had the opportunity to be informed by CNP ASFALISTIKI and Cyprus Police officers about Road Safety tips and receive symbolic gifts. In the area, there were members from motorcycle and bicycle clubs who informed the public about the appropriate use of protective equipment, providing important safety tips.
Demonstrations were also made with goggles simulators for the consequences of alcohol, substances and fatigue and with the use of a training mat. The entire event was accompanied by live radio coverage and a stilt.
The Road Safety Week was under the auspices of the Honorable Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis.
