Fire Safety Week 09 – 15 May 2016

Awareness, prevention and protection, are the key issues of fire safety, which CNP ASFALISTIKI and the CYPRUS FIRE SERVICE demonstrate through their common actions. Besides, it is beyond doubt that the major social challenges demand joint efforts end synergies between private and public sector. Under the slogan «Prevention through practice . . . is everyone's responsibility», the Fire Safety Week took place from 09 - 15 May 2016 and was held under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Ionas Nicolaou.

Fire Safety Week kicked off with a press conference on 09 May, held at the Head Office of the CNP CYPRUS INSURANCE HOLDINGS GROUP. The importance of proactive behaviour and its attributes were highlighted, as the way to avoid the devastating consequences of fire. At the event, the CYPRUS FIRE SERVICE honored, CNP ASFALISTIKI for their 15 consecutive years of cooperation and its contribution to Fire Safety campaigns.

The headline event of the Fire Safety Week will be the Open Day Event, on Saturday May 14, at MyMall in Limasol. During the event various activities will take place, with a live link with the CyBc Radio show «Kids In The Air», a firefighting exercise, exhibition of Fire Brigade vehicles and other equipment, as well as activities for children. Fire extinguishers, symbolic gifts and informative material on fire safety will be given to attenders.
