Fire Safety Week 16 – 22 April 2018

With the powerful message «Fire Safety is everyone's responsibility», CNP ASFALISTIKI and the CYPRUS FIRE SERVICE organised for the 17th consecutive year, the Fire Safety Week from 16th until 22nd of April, under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Ionas Nicolaou.

Fire Safety Week kicked off with a press conference on the 16th of April, held at Moniatis Countryside Fire Station, reaffirming the long lasting aim of the Fire Safety Week, which is to raise public awareness on the prevention and protection from the devastating consequences of fire. The continuous efforts over the year are culminating during this week by reminding and highlighting the Fire Safety messages through specific activities.

The highlight of the Fire Safety Week will take place on Sunday 22nd of April at the seafront of Molos area in Limassol with the International Fire Brigade Competitions. The Firefighters will compete in activities relative to their work. Moreover, people attending the event will have the opportunity to be informed on fire safety issues and children will participate in Fire Brigade Competitions and activities especially designed for them with many presents.
