Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CNP ASFALISTIKI, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, join forces in order to strengthen their effort in educating students on road safety issues. Starting this year’s Road Safety campaign to elementary schools, CNP ASFALISTIKI supported the event organised by the pupils and the teachers, of the Pernera Elementary School, on February 17th. The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Culture, on the theme: «The bicycle I ride, with the road signs in mind».
The objective of this annual event is to create awareness and the appropriate culture as regards to road safety. This common effort which is applied to Pernera Elementary School, aims at fostering future drivers based on the terms of mutual respect and road safety knowledge. Common objective of CNP ASFALISTIKI and Pernera Elementary Principals, is to educate the children so that they acquire the necessary knowledge in order to enjoy bicycle riding. To this effect a two weeks program was planned, focussing on educating the children, as bicycle riders. CNP ASFALISTIKI with the approval of the Minister of Education and Culture sponsored various related supporting activities for the school.
The event was addressed by the General Manager of CNP ASFALISTIKI Mr. Andreas C. Stylianou, on behalf of the Minister of Education and Culture, the Deputy Director of Primary Education, Mrs. Christos Hadjiathanasiou, the Assistant Director of Traffic Department of Police Head Courter, Mr. Philippos Papaelia and the Headmistress of Pernera Elementary School Mrs. Maria Demou.
